Marianne & I used our Friday lunch break to try the new snow-cone cocktails (do some midday drinking) at the downtown Ritz-Carlton.
From the AJC:

Finally, some good news in the middle of this heat wave. The downtown Ritz-Carlton has launched a new series of snow-cone cocktails including watermelon with lime and Anejo tequila, passion fruit with lemon and bourbon and blackberry with honey and moonshine.

How brilliant do those sound for the Georgia summer?
We tried the watermelon and passion fruit flavors. The watermelon tasted exactly like a snow-cone, not tequila (thankfully) and was by far my favorite. It was our first visit to the downtown Ritz & I didn’t leave impressed. We were apparently the first to order the drinks. (Which is ridiculous… snow-cone cocktails, hello! What a great idea.) The staff didn’t know the flavors available or anything about them, despite the fact that they’ve received press around town (AJC, Atlanta Magazine).
I was surprised to see a completely empty restaurant considering that the lunch menu is very reasonably priced. The cocktails at $12 each… not so much. The outdoor balcony is a beautiful place to have lunch & I wouldn’t mind spending another Friday there, if they stay in business.

Summer Project

A lazy Sunday afternoon seems like a good time to jump back on the Tumblr bandwagon.
